What We Do
CheckESN.com is a third party company that provides a secure service that identifies if an ESN on a cell phone and/or aircard is open for new activation on the Sprint network. CheckESN.com's service is made available to wholesalers, individuals and service providers to protect a potential buyer from fraud or to add value when selling wireless equipment.
CheckESN Pricing
Starting at only $2.99 for the first check and $0.99 each for each additional ESN check, we secure a way to validate if a phone you're planning to purchase or sell is open for new activation on the Sprint Network. (Lower pricing may be available for larger quantities!)
How We Check Your ESN
Utilizing a database, we run a comparison check against Electronic Serial Numbers in circulation to ensure the unit you are looking to sell or purchase does not show up as stolen, lost or tied to an old account. The information we supply is guaranteed to allow the devices that have been identified as "clear" to be open for activation. For more on the guarantee, please click here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are three of the most frequently asked questions:
What is an ESN?
(Electronic Serial Number) This is a unique serial identification number programmed into a wireless phone by the manufacturer. Each time a call is placed, the ESN is transmitted to a nearby base station so the wireless carrier can validate the call. The ESN differs from the Mobile Identification Number, which identifies a customer's wireless phone number. MINs and ESNs are electronically monitored by the carriers to help prevent fraud.
Where can I find my ESN?
Remove the battery from your phone. It will be an 11 digit number (could be 8, 11, 15, or 18 digits depending on if it is an ESN, DEC, HEX, IMEI, or MEID number) with a barcode underneath it. If you find multiple versions on your phone, please send in the DEC numbers. (This will ensure a faster response from CheckESN.com.)
Do you work for Sprint?
No. We are an independently owned and operated company that helps customers, service providers and wholesalers to check their ESN to ensure that their phone is clear for new activation on the Sprint network.
